Hey Guys, & Welcome to my new Wednesday How To Series on my blog! I have decided that also being a relatively new blogger, how to posts have been very helpful for me and my blogging & getting myself out there so I thought I would do a sort of Wednesday how to series for the next few weeks or until I run out of things to 'how to' about!
So I thought I would start off with a 'How to Juggle working & Blogging' post.. I know that for some people finding the time to blog as well as working full time like me can seem like a daunting task and unless your organised you can find yourself in a rut and cant seem to find your mojo!
.PRE-PLAN &MAKE A SCHEDULE.
The thing which I have found to really help me with my working & blogging life is to keep and stay organised. Making sure you plan out your posts & set aside time in your weekly routine to do your posts is key to managing a blog and working.
Pre-Planning includes, planning some content, have a real think about what posts you want to upload in the next couple of days, weeks, months, and start to plan for content development.
.BLOCK OUT TIME IN YOUR WEEK/DAYS.
I choose Mon/Weds/Friday for my posts & keep my ideas in my diary in my bag. The other days of the week I use to take my blogging photos and see something which may help me put a post together and save it!
When taking snap shots and editing the photos especially on a smartphone, it can take all of about 10 minutes so you don't need to set much time aside at all for that.
By doing this you can ensure you have enough time to solely focus on your blog whether it be a whole weekend for different posts or a couple hours on an evening. Marking the time out in your diary will ensure you have time to produce your posts and give your blog the loving time it needs!
.PHOTOGRAPH IN BULK.
Once you have your post ideas scheduled out for the week, I like to take my photos for all the posts at once so I can just sit down and type away! As I use my iphone for most of my photos, I use the Blogger app to create new posts with my titles & upload the photos and save as a draft.
That way when I log onto my computer and pull up my blogger posts, they are there read for me to write up the content! Big time saver there!
So what have we learnt! Pre-plan your content, block out time to work, use your weekends and none blogging days to shoot imagery in bulk & schedule your posts for the week ahead.
They may not seem like exciting tips but they really work for me! These help me to keep sharing my content on aimeebellmua.blogspot.co.uk daily.
I hope this has helped some of you with your blog to work ratio's!
Do you have any tips for juggling both work & blogging? I would love to hear your ideas!
Lots of Love A xxxx
