Why I've been MIA | Aimee Bell MUA


Long time no speak! I am back and ready to take 2017 by storm & get some great blogging done! To get me back into blogging, I would do a little update on where I have been & what I have been up to. 

So at the end of January, me & my bf decided to view an apartment... not for anything else other than to view it and see what it was like... a week later we moved in... I fell in LOVE with it! I just couldn't walk away from it! So the week up until we moved in was ridiculously busy getting sorted, organised etc and I barely slept with anxiety! But we made it to the Friday we were moving in and we did everything on our own carrying bags after bags up in the lift to our apartment, sorting it out, headed to Tesco to do a big big shop & even had time to head to IKEA and get the last little bits we needed for the kitchen & accessories etc. 
The apartment was fully furnished so all we needed was ourselves, bedding & furnishings, accessories & kitchen bits and bobs, rugs... basically everything to make it homely & ours. 

After a weekend of sorting, we were without the internet until last Wednesday which meant I was cut off from the world of Netflix & blogging etc and it has been horrible as i have been waiting to get back to you guys!!

As the move has meant we have moved away from our gym, I have started BBG again so will continue to post my progress on that on my Instagram until we get the gym & swimming pool completed at our apartment apartment complex where my training will be able to continue again yeyy!!

Also if you have been following me on SM, you will see that my PINK hair has now returned to BROWN... I felt the Pink had finished its little run & felt like i wanted to be back to my brunette routes & feel abit better in my clothes as more things go with brown hair!!

Fitness Update Week 3 | Aimee Bell MUA

 
Week 1 Day 1

Week 3 Day 1

So im half way through the 3rd week of my new fitness routine and im absolutely loving it! I feel much better & I am feeling stronger and more toned already! 

My week goes as follows... 

Monday & Tuesday I have been at my mums so I have completed arms & legs using dumb bell weights & a kettle bell at home for 15 minutes each. I also incorporate abs on arms. 

Wednesday is a midweek rest as I head to Joshes and we buy food in for the week. We use the lean in 15 book for help & buy our food accordingly. 

Thursday Legs again but at the gym with medium weights and high reps & a short 10mins of cardio on the treadmill. 

Friday biceps & triceps using medium weights and high repps

Saturday is the shoulder boulder day! Again medium weight and high reps. 

The reps that I have been doing are.... 50reps, break, 40reps, break, 30 reps, break, 20reps, break, 10reps. Rest. Both me and josh have seen a fast difference working this way than doing 30 reps on one excercise and moving on. Now we only do 2 different excercises in accordance with the lean in 15 plan and we feel stronger and fitter. 

Food wise we are still sticking to 1 takeaway a week or we swap the takeaway for a meal out & we have a bar of choccie that we can break up if we get a sugar craving to last the week or longer depending on the cravings ha!! 

Let me know if you want me to start posting the meals of the day or meals of the week posts! I have picked up my iphone 7 plus today and so i can now take better photos!!! Im in love with it! Best phone everrrr!!!

New Workout Plan 2017 | Aimee bell MUA

This picture/quote is my favourite fitness quote ever and oh so true.. So many times people decide to start working out & then are a week in and quit or order the fatty takeaways because they aren't noticing any difference... So if you follow the above you won't be disappointed, you just need to get past the initial two weeks!! 

I am now on my 2nd day of eating healthier, & working out again and so far I feel okay (Apart from the serious DOMS on my legs right now) but you know what they say, no pain no gain!! See below today's aftermath picture of my 1000 Squat challenge by Blogilates on Youtube & 1000 Ab challenge today! 


As I am going to Corfu with my bf in May, we are now absolutely 100% trying out best to smash out the workouts and better food choices to look the hottest we can possibly look around that pool!!! 

So on that note, I have sort of changed the areas that I want to gain muscle on & work on up until then. I used to be one of them girls looking at the thigh gaps & being sooooo slender and slim, but now, I want to get that shoulder cap popping, nice shapely arms, teeny waist (from building the shoulders and booty - Its all an illusion) and a big booty & some good thighs/legs! 

Too many people I now follow on instagram/snapchat for the gains motivation to count but my god are they an inspiration!! Find someone or something you want to make your goal and go smash it! Have them on your background of your phone or laptop or something to remind yourself the pain will be worth it!!! 

So what have I decided to do... My New Workout Regime is now spread over 5 days depending on where I am whether it be at my mums or at Joshes decides for me whether i workout at home with a kettle bell weight, or go to the gym and do weights there. However the week normally looks like this...

Monday: At my mums so I start the week off with some form of leg workout challenge from YouTube or I now have downloaded the Sworkit Apps for the different splits (Arms & upper body) (Abs & Core) ( Legs & butt). So monday is a killer leg day! For added weight I use my 5kg Kettle Bell. 

Tuesday: At my mums again, so i have chosen to do an upper body workout, again using the Sworkit App & incorporating my trusty kettle bell again. I have just seen that Primark are now doing some little 4lb dumbbell weights for £5! So I am going to try pick these up tomorrow! 

Wednesday: I usually head to Joshes on this day, so I plan on doing an at home concentrated ab workout with my sworkit app & then head to the gym to get some 40 min cardio in. I usually split it onto the bike & incline treadmill. 

Thursday: At Joshes, so back to Leg day again! But this time I am hitting the gym for a HEAVY leg workout. (I am doing legs twice a week now due to there being a hell of a lot of big muscles in them & to ensure i build those booty gains!!)  - I may do a light 10 min on the treadmill or bike after depending on how my legs are (Usually JELLY!!) 

Friday: Last but not least, still at Joshes so back to arms, but in the gym this time & I am going to try concetrate on Shoulders and Biceps here with Josh to help me as he is a good egg ha! (Tuesday is more of a full upper body crippler!) - Again may finish with a smudge of light cardio for 10 mins. 

And thats it!! Saturday & Sunday can be my rest days, unless i feel like i want to do anything else but I think this routine should work well with me and my living/work schedule!!!

My New Year Resolutions 2017 | AimeeBellMUA


So it is the 30th December, we can almost touch the new year.... time to start planning for the year ahead and I for one am so glad that 2016 is almost over even though I myself have had a good year but it seems to have been a curse for all the amazing artists & celebs we have lost this year! It has been a truly devastating year for so much talent!! Prince, George Michael, Professor Snape (Alan Rickman) and sooo many more!! But as all good icons, they will live on in our hearts forever and after in the music they have made & films etc!! 

When I sat down to put together my new years resolutions or goals or whatever we want to call them, I realised that everyone has similar goals... but we never put ourselves together to try and accomplish them with each others support!! Without further ado lets get to it........

  1. MAKE HEALTHIER FOOD CHOICES - By this I don't mean eat like a rabbit for the next 365 days, but making better food choices or the low fat/better option when picking up meals & selecting food in restaurants... Far too many times I start the day great with granola, yogurt, smoothie, black coffee (no sugar)... & by dinner end up with a McDonalds & tea we order a takeaway!! With that being said, I am by no means gunna say goodbye to my takeaways, fast food & wine completely, just limit myself to a couple a month & try to choose better options than ordering everything on the menu!! I also want to start doing the 5 meal a day rule as so many of the #fitfam do.. which is... Breakfast, a small snack like fruit/nuts, lunch, another small snack like a smoothie or protein shake/bar, then a good hearty meal! I want to try and make each of my main meals as colourful as possible for good nutritional goodness & eye appeal!! Once i get my meals on track, I will do a food diary on snapchat/blog if you would like to see one! 
  2. WORKOUT 5 TIMES A WEEK (HOLIDAY PREP) - This one is pretty self explanatory, everyone knows what we mean by working out... Some people choose the gym, some people choose home workouts, some people choose outdoor walking/running or gym classes... Im looking at heading to the gym twice a week to train arms (lightly, I have chicken arms) & legs(heavy weight, I want to build my legs & gluten!), abs once a week at home, then arms & legs with an at home #sworkitapp workout.. If you haven't heard about Sworkit, head to your android/apple app store and search 'Sworkit' there are many different versions for focusing on different parts of your body & you can manage your workout time from 5 mins to 60mins depending on how much time you have spare!!! Perfect if your a busy bee! 
  3. BEGIN READING - I think a lot of people do this, I haven't read a book since my holiday almost 3 years ago, and i feel I am missing out on so much... I have my eyes set on the 'Girl with a dragon tattoo' series as I LOOOOVE the film & 'The girl on the train'!! If you have any book recommendations let me know! Im into, murder/crime/thriller/horror type books please!!!
  4. BETTER MY BEAUTY REGIME - By this I mean stop being so lazy!! I am finally into the routine of cleaning my makeup off before bed but I am getting lazy with keeping up to my nails/body/tanning/haircare etc & want to combine a proper or mini routine into my life every evening/morning to better my skins/body appearance and feel! Especially my run away eyebrows... Fall out with them on a regular basis cos I just can't figure out where they come from every day!!
  5. GET UP AN HOUR EARLIER TO BE PRODUCTIVE - Far too often, i set my alarm earlier to be productive & I turn it off and then go back to sleep till the very latest i can before getting up for work becomes a rush... I want to use my extra hour for..... #breakfast! I never eat brekkie unless on a weekend cos I just don't have the time... #blogging!! I want to use the morning to type up some blog posts, get the creative juices flowing.. i really don't want to let my blog/youtube/social media die off again!! #socialmedia! Speak to you guys more, put more varied content on there.... & finally #relax! Watch some Netflix, have some me time before the madness of the day!! 
  6. KEEP UP WITH MY BLOG/YOUTUBE/SOCIAL MEDIA - Following on from the above, i want to keep posting on my blog at least twice a week and maybe 2 videos a month on my channel.. I don't want to set too much of a high number on my YouTube just yet until I get back into it and better my videoing & editing skills.. Im a slow learner due to my patience with the upload time & iMovie editor!!! I want to better my photography skills too & provide a more varied content within my social media! I want to be able to speak to all you guys more too! The best way I love it via snapchat! So if you have it holla me! Search 'albmakeup' !! 
  7. BE MORE ORGANISED - I am pretty organised anyway and very OCD with my bedroom but I just want to keep up to my to do list more and use my time as productive as possible! 
  8. KEEP ROOM AND CAR GLEAMING -  I am a very tidy person and always tidy my room before I leave in a morning, but I wanna start a proper cleaning routine, especially with my car.. Anyone that works in their car travelling for a living will know that car lunches are a very regular thing and crumbs /fluff/papers end up everywhere, so I want to make it a ritual to vac out my car at least twice a month! As for my bedroom, I want to give it a full clean once a week, same as at Joshes! 
  9. HAVE FUN & ADVENTURES WITH FRIENDS & LOVED ONES - I already have a few things planned next year already, a holiday to corfu & a couple of Leeds hotel stays for food and drinks for birthdays but I am also hoping that we can get or at least start properly looking at houses and possibly move out for Christmas 2017 or spring 2018 cannot wait!! If that does happen, then i will be wanting plenty of gatherings and food and drink nights at our house with friends!! 
  10. SLEEP & RELAX - Pretty self explanatory again, but I wanna ensure i get enough sleep every night and not over sleep as that seems to make me tireder!! Relax is one thing I am going to incorporate into a morning/evening during pamper session... maybe start meditating/yoga to stretch out & just breathe... life gets so overbearing sometimes we just need to breathe!

And that concludes my resolutions! I feel like these are pretty achievable goals.. that I should hopefully be able to achieve!!! What sort of stuff are you going to be doing? Send me links/your list!!

1st June - Start of Healthier Life Challenge | AimeeBellMua


                             
So its almost June, the start of warmer weather (I hope) which means the summer dresses, shorts etc will be coming out and everyone wants to be in the best shape possible. I dont normally do fitnessy type posts but I thought maybe if I write about it, it will encourage me more to actually stick to it!
