Weekend in Pictures | Aimee Bell MUA

This weekend, I have said goodbye to the Pink hair and hello to my Brunette Locks again... I loved my Pink but it was time to end that era and move back to a more professional colour & back to my roots of brunette! Dying over it went quite well actually as you can see below! I dyed it twice to remove all of the pink using: Garner Nutrisse Creme, in colour Golden Brown... You can get it here >>>> Click here to get this hair colour!

After going over it twice, I was left with the below results! Its a proper true golden brown chocolate colour which i have been trying to achieve since god knows how long & finally happy with it!

As a little treat for the first time since we moved into our apartment, I treated the bf to a date night at TGI Fridays! One of our fave places! He had Steak & chips, i had my fave of sesame see chicken & chips... and it was a mountain of chicken!! BEAUTIFUL!

We then headed back to our apartment for onesie cuddles wine/cider & 'Two Pints of Lager & a packet of Crisps' we love that program! Never gets old!

Dunno what I would do without my little Monkey! My Soulmate, my best friend, my roomie! Love him to the end of infinity and back!

To anyone who is wondering, I got our onesies from Primark a few months ago! He has the Monkey, i have the dinosaur.. They were around £15 i think!

For the rest of the weekend, We cleaned the apartment, did our food shop for the week, he played his game (assassins creed, if you were wondering) & I binged on Netflix. I have restarted Bates motel again! LOOOVEEEE this series!!

What did you get up to this weekend??? Any plans for the week ahead?

Lots of love A xxxx

Beauty Haul: St Moriz, Nice & Easy, Maybelline | AimeeBellMua

Okay, so I went to Morribobs on my dinner break at work just to pick up a couple of things and then this happened.. I saw the beauty/makeup aisle and couldn’t resist.

1.    The first thing I picked up was the Nice N Easy Permanent hair dye in colour: 5C which was formally 117D in the old packaging. This is in colour: Natural Medium Cool Brown. I have decided it’s time to have a bit of a change in hair colour now that its coming up to spring so decided to go back to being a luscious brunette.
Ive picked a cool brown to help counteract the redness in my hair from previous colour as I find if you try to cover with ‘golden’ tones this only enhances the red tinge!
I absolutely love the Nice N Easy Range I always go back to this for more. This was £6 from Morrison’s & I picked up 2 boxes as I will need to colour my extensions to match. As I will be colouring my hair tonight I will do a more in depth review with colour picture results.
2.    The second thing I picked up was some more of my favourite St Moriz tan in the Medium Lotion which was £3.99. I love this product as it gives a really nice golden/olive tan, you can apply it in the morning and it doesn’t give you that really dirty appearance like other tanners & leaves skin feeling moisturised. Again, I will do a before/after review on this. You can pick this up here on amazon for £2.99!:http://www.amazon.co.uk/St-Moriz-Instant-Tanning-Lotion/dp/B005C9YAOG
3.    I originally headed to the beauty section as I was in dier need of some new foundation & mascara.
I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me foundation in colour 125 nude beige for around £8. I love this foundation. The colour matches my skin tone perfectly, even when I have tan on it blends really well. I’d say it’s a medium coverage and feels very light on your skin. I will again do a full review on this at a later date. You can pick this up here: http://www.superdrug.com/Maybelline/Maybelline-Fit-Me-Foundation-Nude-Beige-125/p/498850#.VP63YXysUsk
4.    I also carried on the Maybelline theme and got the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in colour 10. Its taken me a while to find a concealer which gives me the coverage I like but also doesn’t look cakey. I think I have finally found it!! This was £6 you can pick this up here:http://www.superdrug.com/Maybelline/Maybelline-Fit-Me-Concealer-Light-10/p/498658#.VP63vnysUsk I will do a duet review on this with the foundation.
5.    Finally I picked up the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in black. I have read some very good reviews about this product so I am excited to try it. So far this morning is the first try out and it seems to be living up to the reviews. I will give my opinion on this soon. I think this was around the £8 mark also. You can pick this up here: http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eyes/Mascara/Maybelline-Lash-Sensational-Mascara-Very-Black-1/p/348705#.VP64G3ysUsk

Have you guys tried these products? What do you think? Are there any of the Maybelline products you would recommend for me to try? Leave a comment below J!! Hope you liked this Haul Post! There will be millions more of these coming soon!

Love A xx

Garnier Olia Intense Copper | AimeeBellMua

So yesterday I decided it was time for another hair colour change so I decided I wanted to go for a copper colour. The picture above doesn't quite show the true colour of it but its a very nice copper brown which I am in love with.

I purchased the Garnier Olia Intense Copper hair dye from Superdrug which was around £6.99 so it is a slightly higher priced of the home box dyes however I love the packaging.

In the box you get the squeezy applicator bottle, developer crème, and the actual hair pigment which you mix together.

You then begin to apply the hair colour using the nozzle. I find it easier if I start around my hair line, then put the colour through my roots, and then put the rest of the mixture all over my hair and massage it into my scalp.

The recommended development time is 30mins however I only left it on 20 as I know my hair is very porous and soaks up hair dye like its going out of fashion and can end up being a lot darker than my desired result.

I then washed the colour out using the conditioner given with the dye, which smells gorgeous and has left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny.

All in all I am very pleased with the result and will be using this hair dye again in around 6 weeks when my roots have grown back.

I rate this product 4 out of 5* as the product is very nice however I would of liked it to be a slightly brighter colour!! But maybe if I go over it again next time I am ready to dye it, it will be closer to the colour shown on the box.

**I would always recommend doing a small patch test behind your ear 48hrs prior to when you want to dye your hair incase of an allergic reaction**

Lots of Love A xox
